A Tool for Administration of the Company Product Portfolio

In this work, we introduce the evolution of thinking in the field of corporate governance. We are focusing on process management and current possibilities information support business processes. We'll show you an overview of performance measurement tools and process efficiency. An important part of this work is dedicated to design its own discount site that allows its customers to bulk purchases of various goods and services at a bargain price. For this site was created by an instrument to promote corporate portfolio. The tool is designed to automatically monitor and analyze sales success in competition and thus promote the award of contracts and specific form of a sale on your own server. The end of work is devote to practical use of the discount site in the real environment and evaluation of results.
Design of the Erasmus Programme Information Support

This thesis deals with reengineering of Erasmsus process framework and conceptual design of its information support. Analytical part is focused to description of current state of ERASMUS programme and European education system. In the same part, advantages and shortcomings of current situation are analyzed. The output of this analysis is set of strengths and weaknesses of current solution. Based on this information, the conceptual design of the information support core is designed. At the end, potential further steps of designing of this project are discussed.
Information Support of Project Teams

The aim of the diploma thesis is to outline the possibilities of information support of project teams by an Informational Specialist. The theoretical part introduces different project management methodologies and further specifies the individual project phases as seen by PMBoK methodology. In the chapters focusing on each of the phases of a project, all necessary input sources as well as all output documents that are essential for the project to move on to its next phase are defined and elaborated on. This part is followed by a description of possibilities of information support for working with information sources and creating output documents with regard to competencies, which an Information Specialist should have. Key in this respect is the third and the fourth chapter, including specific proposals on the possibility of information support of a project team by an Information Specialist. The practical part is focused on the role of an Information Specialist in the implementation of a specific project in a company - in particular, a major financial institution on the Czech market. While the theoretical part is based on the study of literature, the practical part is mainly based on personal consultation with a Project Manager of the company.
UC Berkeley Library Internship Report

An internship at the UC Berkeley Library in Berkeley took place from September 16 to September 26, 2017 and aimed to encourage and enable the exchange of experience and good practice among NTK staff and the UC Berkeley Library and to establish working relationships with foreign professionals. The main themes were: information support for students and teachers; involving students and teachers in creation of library services; linking the library's long-term vision with the needs of the university and internal communication within the library; advanced information support for academic communication.

Information support in the area of software simulators in medical education

(english) The subject of this thesis is the analysis of the development and use of medical simulators in terms of information support, basic description and introduction to the issue of medical training simulators themselves. The introduction describes the simulators since the beginning of the historical development to the current use. Subsequently, the work deals with manikin for patient simulators, the essential components, required for proper functioning, which are mathematical models on the background of the simulators. The chapter on repositories, describes the problems of model documentation and archiving of articles which describes the models. There are described reference managers for managing the literature and made a basic comparison of their features. The thesis focuses on a selected reference manager - Docear, which is described and used in the practical part. It deals with the organization of the scientific literature of Biomedical simulators in the Department of Biocybernetics and Computer Aided Teaching at the 1st Medical Faculty of Charles University. Libraries and information systems supporting Italian research and developement

(in English) This thesis deals with the issue of information support of science and research development in Italy through information systems and library networks. The introductory chapter deals with several questions concerning the Italian academic environment and its relation to research and coordination of information. The second chapter introduces the current situation of Italian libraries, the library structures, legislation elements and mainly focuses on the institutions managing the libraries. The third chapter is devoted to science and research in Italy. The thesis also describes the current situation comparing it to other European countries. The emphasis is on major research institutions, support organizations and ministries. Followed by the explanation of funding and assessment of research institutions. The fourth chapter deals with the support of research in the area of Tuscany. The three largest universities of this region are analyzed - University of Florence, Pisa and Siena. After a description of these institutions, the thesis looks closely at their library networks, research activities and support. The conclusion summarizes the information obtained and answers the questions formulated in the introduction of this thesis.

Information systems and information support in culture of the Czech Republic

(anglicky): This study focuses on different types of cultural information resources in the Czech Republic, particularly specialized on beaux arts. The topic of the thesis is to describe and essentially analyze libraries, information systems and services in the field of culture within the Czech Republic. The very first chapters of the thesis define the terms such as culture and cultural heritage. The third chapter describes the projects, which fundamentally support culture, cultural heritage and its presentation, preservation etc. In the fourth chapter the main characteristics of the libraries of museums and galleries and general characteristics of libraries, which support culture, are described. The fifth chapter describes libraries whose fund and services are mainly focused on beaux arts. In the last chapter, the informational system and databases of beaux arts are described.
Information range of intelligence agencies in terms of Information Studies

(in English): Diploma thesis "Information range of intelligence agencies in terms of Information Studies" deals about work with information in intelligence agencies. It describes and evaluates application of field of Information Studies in information support of intelligence agencies. It monitors the functioning of information services, acquisition and processing of information inside agencies. Generally describes an area of agency news service and in detail it covers the whole range of intelligence agencies, including a description of selected international and national agencies. An important part of the work is practical comparison and evaluation of selected criteria of agencies. Through the use of this comparative analysis it was possible to infer the activity and incidence of agencies in the market and determine their success. The obtained results point out that the key positions have a large global news agencies, but also demonstrate that depends on the size of the state in which it operates and the overall tradition of the agency. Not only thanks to the analysis, but also through the study of professional sources, focused on the topic, it is possible better understand the function and operation of the intelligence agencies.
